Learning you can check.

Skill Workbench helps you practice a small job skill by completing a work task with clear feedback.

How the courses work

Read a short lesson, follow a demonstration and work with the original data. Check your answer, use hints to revise it and download a result and handoff report. Each project offers a fresh dataset to practice applying the same rules again. Everything is free and no account is required.

Original materials

Lessons, synthetic company datasets, rubrics and videos are AI-assisted original work, checked with executable rules. Selected public learning objectives inform related lessons. We do not copy paid course videos or exercises. There is no affiliation with the linked providers.

What completion means

SQL and spreadsheet outputs must satisfy every check for columns, row counts, types, missing values, values and duplicate counts. Evidence review checks fixed JSON fields and types. A diagnostic score helps locate mistakes; a verified pass records a matching output checked on this device. It does not measure arbitrary writing quality or grant professional certification.

Imported history is preserved as unverified. To verify an imported answer, open the matching task and dataset and check it again. Earlier content versions and fresh datasets keep separate results.

Browser tools and Excel

The spreadsheet grid edits CSV and evaluates a limited formula set. Its LOOKUP uses exact matching. Native Excel functions, import tools, workbook features and PivotTables have their own behavior; use Excel when you want to practice those tools.

Your privacy and files

Your answers, imported files and saved progress stay in this browser unless you choose to download or share them. Anonymous page visits, clicks and effective active time may be summarized to improve these courses. Active time excludes background tabs and long idle periods. Reporting uses fixed content IDs; it does not send your answers, search terms or file contents. Advertising stays off until you choose Allow ads on the home page.

Use the statistics control in the footer to disable reporting for this browser. Your practice and downloads continue to work. This preference is saved separately from your progress. Exporting or clearing local activity on the progress page does not delete statistics already summarized by the reporting service.

Offline and accessibility

Save a course from Downloads to cache its pages and files, including video where provided. Every lesson demonstration also has a readable list of steps. Videos have captions and transcripts. Editors support keyboard use and include visible focus styles. Use course downloads with your preferred tools when browser features are unavailable.

Keep your work

Each course and saved attempt shows its content version. Export a copy of your progress before changing browsers or clearing site data. Downloaded handoff reports keep the source, your answer, the result and checks together.
